Even the least-smelling suit is still bad for sure because it covers your body completely and very tightly. And all this shit is highly fat-soluble. Smell after repeated use is missing hygiene not rinsing it thoroughly after each use, quick drying, like described above.

The plastic wrapping smelt like it, the invoice paper, the catalogue packaged with it — it all absolutely stank of weed. But — reading this, sounds like other brands have the same problem presumably intermittently too.
I got home after the first wear of the second suit, everything stank of weed again so we checked the packaging that was still here — and that stank, as well as everything that shipped with it proving it was the wetsuit, not the water.
I probably will. But putting a tshirt in a freezer for 3 or 4 days then throwing it straight into a normal wash seemed to cure it. Thanks for the update Rick. Neoprene is also used in construction where it is subjected to outside winter temperatures so I think it would not hurt the suit if you would put it into the freezer, you would have to make sure its completely dry and not wrinkled though…you would need a big freezer…just a thought if anyone will be reading this later.
Uggh, my daughter is having the same problem with this wetsuit made by Oneil. I have one of those noses that is really sensitive to smells. She sails and it is getting into all her gear. Anyone discover a way to get out the smell in the wetsuit? Sadly, I also blamed our dog until I figured it out. Maybe wash it in a washing machine with some mild washing powder. We ended up having to throw away bed linen, tshirts and pillow cases that smelt of weed.
The only thing that seemed to improve it for me was the freezer. I bought Mystic Star wetsuit from wetsuitoutlet and I has the same weed smell what is infecting everything it touches, it drives me crazy! My brand new mystic sharkskin neoprene jacket has a horrible odor of weed and has contaminated a closet in my house, making everything totally funky. Any tips welcome. May try the freezer trick for some of the other clothes.
