The vibe has k miles on it which I'm not happy about but compared to my caravan it feels like a new car lol. I'm only going to put around 5k miles a year on it anyway. I haven't found any real issues with the toyota drive train. Everything on the car appears to work. The engine feels weak but I think that is because it is weak with only hp and pulling lbs through an automatic trans.

Check the air filters on the cars - if they appear old and dirty then its a good sign that the car may not have been properly maintained. I probably would have just went ahead and bought it today but the girl that owned it is a college student and had to go to her parent's to get the title.
The family has had the car since it was new. Unless I can come up with some reason not to buy it I'm going to go get it tomorrow. I took it for a decent test drive today including about 5 miles on the interstate at 70mph. The car feels good. The engine bay looks clean, no obvious leaks, and the oil looked clean. The trans fluid isn't great looking and probably needs changed but it wasn't burnt smelling.
I've had my caravan for It is currently broke down with a broken flex plate and I'm trying really hard to not fix it lol. The van runs and drives good, well did, but everything else is completely worn out on it. Last edited: Jan 23, SyndromeOCZ Senior member. Aug 8, 0 I've got a toyota matrix with almost k miles on it.
Although it had two motors, the first went out at about k miles. It went out because it went over 30k miles on one oil change and started knocking. The new motor I put in it had 6k miles. Unfortunately, after , the Vibe went away with the brand and we were left with the Toyota Matrix until So why would anyone want a Pontiac Vibe? We like that the Vibe is basically a Toyota underneath all that Pontiac sheet metal.
This platform cross-sharing meant that the Vibe had some nice features like a volt outlet, a spacious interior for passengers and their cargo, as well as an available all-wheel drivetrain. If you are able to afford one of these cars new or "lightly" used, you can likely expect to drive them for years to come. These mid-size sedans have been part of Toyota's lineup since , and they have earned a well-deserved reputation for reliability.
The average mileage on these cars is , miles. This mid-sized luxury sedan is a great option for anyone who has good money to spend on a car, and who wants to combine the comfort of a well-appointed daily driver with the fun of a performance vehicle. The GS has been around since , and it has consistently been highly ranked by car experts.
It has a notable LTQI Unfortunately, the GS also holds its value very well, so even a used model can cost a pretty penny. There is an excellent reason why the longest-lived vehicle I have ever seen was a Land Cruiser. These SUVs are not only Toyota's longest running series the first Land Cruiser model was manufactured in , but they are widely considered to be "ruggedly dependable. New Land Cruisers don't come cheap, however.
And while it is possible to buy one that is a few years old, expect to find high mileage and a high price tag, since the longevity and reliability are well known. If you're keeping score at home, you might notice that Toyota is either directly or indirectly responsible for five of the six cars on this list — everything except the Ford E-Series van.
Lexus is Toyota's luxury brand. I'm not a shill for Toyota, nor do I have any vested interest in the company. Quite simply,Toyota has proven itself to be an incredibly reliable automaker, and you can feel pretty confident about the longevity of many of the cars manufactured either under the Toyota brand or jointly with it.

I have a Toyota Echo with about K miles on it currently. I received it around 25K miles in and have taken care of it since I got it. No complaints, no issues, everything works as it should, the motor runs fantastically, and I average over EPA highway mpgs regularly. Aesthetically, it needs some work, but it still runs, drives and operates perfectly. A Genvibe member has had their Vibe over , miles. Join us on Facebook!
We are very active, and have decals! Everything You Need to Know about the Vibe. The Vibe will last a really long time with some TLC regular maintenance and a bit of luck. I'm proud to say I'm a member of the k club, not to mention the k club, and unofficially the k club!!! The k thread to follow soon. BTW the real answer to this question is that there is NO answer. For example, I've got a Karmann Ghia, most 69 Ghia's are long gone so what is the answer if one should ask how long a Ghia lasts?
Do you take mine as the answer or do you take the countless 's that perished decades ago??
